Miniatures Club has its primary goal of introducing Historical Miniatures Gaming to the students at our school. We use the rules and miniatures from Battlefront Miniatures Flames of War game. The models are 15mm scaled tanks, armored cars, guns, planes, and infantry as well as infantry support weapons such as machine guns and mortars. Students have the opportunity to learn to assemble and paint miniatures that are used by the club. There are three time periods for Flames of War: Early War (EW) 1939-1941; Mid-War (MW) 1942-43; and Late-War (LW) 1944-45. Information on the products can be found here: Battlefront Miniatures . Students also play board games such as Settlers of Catan and Risk or card games such as Spendor and Uno. Students may bring age appropriate board games or card games approved by the sponsor. Parents sign up to bring food and drinks to the meetings. The club meets most Fridays (not the first Friday- reserved for family time) from dismissal until 6:30 PM. Any Sixth through 8th Grader may participate if they are allowed to participate in Extracurricular Activities. The Sponsor is Mr. Sheridan who has been an avid historical miniatures wargamer since 1976.
